Our focus today is to introduce 200 Turkish Lira (TL) to Dayah, along with a substantial amount of 5000 Turkish Lira, while also reflecting on the lessons we have learned in the vibrant districts of Bejoglu and Fettih. This study aims to compare the provisions made by the public sector with those of the private sector. It takes into account factors such as affordability, value for money, and risk transfer. Brother Dayah, a young Somali student in his first year at university in Mogadishu, recognized the importance of income generation as he began to explore various avenues to support himself financially. As he immersed himself in his studies, he understood that being both street smart and book smart would be advantageous in navigating the complexities of the real world. With this mindset, Dayah delved deep into research and discovered the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), a Muslim organization that could potentially offer him opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Dayah soon realized that his daily duties at TIKA came with numerous advantages. Not only did he have the chance to work alongside driven and passionate individuals, but he also witnessed firsthand the positive impact that the organization was making in Somalia.
